Dreams of Past and Future

Bright stars stream across the sky, in dreams golden shore
Bringing memories of the past, of what can be no more
Across the waves on hallowed land we see who we really are
We want to reach out with all our hearts but the distance seems too far
So we watch and ponder the wonders that we've seen
And ask if it is possible or just a distant dream
Then the moon shines down with its soft and peaceful glow
Reminding us that everything we believe is nothing that we know
Will we ever be able to reach our goal across the deepening sea
And finally in our hearts and minds be who we want to be
